What Should We Do in College?

Learning extensively or intensively? I've always been thinking about this question. As an undergraduate student, I see many of my friends confine their horizon within their major, so did I for a very long time. It's natural to have the concept that we should be an expert in our major instead of knowing the surface of a variety of subjects. Chinese traditional culture admires being an expert in only one subject.

Valeo First Interview Passed

All acquaintances, all applicants are from JiaoTong university, mechnical school, three from industrial engineering, Tao feng, Yang Tiancheng and me. First, the HR director gave a brief presentation of Valeo APO (Asia Purchasing Office) for about 10 minutes. Then we gave self-introduction one by one, both English and Chinese are ok, but most of us chose to speak English.

About three hours later, when I got back in my dorm, a phone from Valeo received. Next Wednesday, the same place and the same time in APO, second interview by French staff.

Wang Qiangqiang’s Birthday

Today is my roommate Wang Qiangqiang’s birthday; I knew that later in the afternoon when we went to have supper, he said he want to eat longevity noodles, because it’s a Chinese tradition to have longevity noodle to bless a long life when birthday. He took a picture of himself and post it on Xibei board in BBS, then transposted by Jian on PPP board, hahahah, above is the picture he showed. The guy in the background is me....

Poor English

I downloaded some GRE test materials from FTP2 in SJTU, and read some essays rank from score 1 to score 6, after reading those essays, I suddenly realize that my English is actually so poor, maybe score 3 to 4… If I had made a plan and persisted implementing from my first year in college, it won't be like this….Anyway, I still have some time before working, and I can learn more.

Song Xiaodong and I went to buy formal dress this afternoon; we first went to the supermarket, there are many types of shirts, from 17 RMB to 100+, I chose a white cost 59 RMB, then we bought suits, pants, shoes and ties. My pants and tie cost me 240. Song spent about 600. We still lack belts. Valeo interview will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, I still got no preparation…
