today is just a normal day, woke up at about 6, then final exam review, then lunch time. i've just had my haircut, and find it was the same day in June last time i had my haircutk, maybe i should make today as the fixed day to do haircut. Yesterday afternoon, i went to a lecture given by Hurun, CEO of Hurun Report in China, he said there are about five hundred thousand millionaires in China with wealth over 10 million Yuan, and 35,000 people possess over 100 million Yuan. About 30% in the report list are communist party members. The average annual wealth growth rate of those on the list is about 50%.

My Life in The Past 20 Years (Ⅱ)

I had no idea about how NO.8 middle school was before I went there, the only thing I knew was there were many bad students because it was at the end of the most terrible street in Chenzhou city, where black trades of drugs and weapons prevailed. After I got there, I found that was true, many of my classmates got robbed in that street and so did I. Though the surrounding environment was horrible, it was quite safe in the campus. There were two kinds of classes in NO.8 middle school, urban student classes and rural student classes. Rural students live in the campus, and were permitted to go out only twice a month to go home. There were few entertainment facilities except two basketball courts, we could play basketball about twice in the weekend. Our headmaster was very strict with us, sometimes too strict that many of us would rebel. Once in a weekend, we were supposed to be at home with family, but she asked us to stay in the classroom to review for the final exam, almost every one complained so much, but no one dared to say it out. We stayed in the classroom for half a day, most of the boys didn't review anything, and I felt that there must be something going to happen. Finally, some brave students including me chose to go home without her permission, the excuse was all rural students in the other three classes had gone home leaving am empty classroom. All 63 students went home after we pioneers left the classroom, we felt like warriors and fighters, proud but feared serious punishment after back to school. When we got back to school, she forgave us and mentioned nothing about our escape.
Though she was very strict with us, she was very good to me, many other students envied me. I studied very hard as she told me, she expects me to study in key senior high school, actually I had no idea about the difference between key high school and ordinary school, I just did what she told me to do, study hard. Three year later, I past the entrance exam of No.2 CZ Province Key Senior High School with NO.1 scores.
It was totally different in NO.2 high school, rural and urban students were mixed in class, there were both 'good' students like me who may spent a whole day with a math problem and 'bad' students enrolled through donation. I was luck to meet another kind teacher, Mr. Long; he was in charge of my class after orientation separation. At the second year, all students had to choose an orientation, science or art, and then divided into new classes by orientation. One day, Mr. Long asked us to speak out our target university in front of the whole class. Usually people don't tell others their dream publicly, I was the first to tell, I said that I want to study in Tsinghai University, it's the best science tech university in China, I was quite confident about it, Mr. Long may be impressed about my dream, he invited me to accommodate in his home in campus, where has much better conditions than dormitory. I review to about 12 during night everyday until the national college entrance exam. I didn't perform very well in the national college entrance exam because of fever, missed my dream university and then came to Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Life in college is colorful and deserves much more words to tell.

To be continued.

Sloth

I watched a movie several days ago named “Se7en”, produced in 1995; seven people were killed for seven deadly sins. There is no such saying about seven sins in China, but similar moral standards do exist. Chinese people take pride of their diligentness, which they think as a precious heritage from their ancestors. When I woke up this morning, I suddenly realized it’s been a long time since my updating of my blog, I set a rule to post at least one article each day when I created this blog, but I failed, and very soon I found a excuse for myself: things unexpected could always happen, I’ve done my best. When I opened my blog this morning, it’s like an old friend away for a long time, and I blamed myself for my laziness in the other days. I fear that I will be punished for my sloth. In the past week, there were four exams taken, which made last week the most critical time of the whole semester, all the students have to pay a hundred percent attention to reviewing. I didn’t care about it so much, and then I took the consequence, I got only 50 in the finance management course. During the time which I ought to be reviewing, I was just sitting in the dorm doing nothing, I don’t know the reason, and again I found an excuse: the weather was so bad, I could hardly breathe.
Anyway, it’s over now, I will focus on the other two coming exams, prepare for my internship. Some times it’s really so easy to forget the past.
